Greetings!
This premiere blog post pays tribute to W. E. B. DuBois, one of the most influential African American activists of the 20th century. He firmly believed the Black and Brown community should be well-represented in mainstream society. His life’s work was devoted to this effort as well as promoting racial justice and equality. DuBois was the leader of the Niagara Movement, Co-Founder of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), and so much more.

1868-1963
Selecting the name for this blog was inspired by his classic book, The Souls of Black Folk. The intention is to follow in the footsteps of DuBois by featuring stories that truly represent our folks from all walks of life. He's also recognized for publishing 21 books, three of which were autobiographies. The first, was Darkwater published in 1920. The other two were Dusk of Dawn (published in 1940), and The Autobiography of W. E. B. DuBois (published in 1968 posthumously).
